Polkie Dots with a Kick!

Yep, I said 'Polkie', lol. Now as you all know, I love polka dots, purple, scotch tape and matte manis, so why not do a mani, that has it all!!!! Here is the mani I did. I used Ulta Cocktails Anyone?, Sally Hansen Slick Slate and Essie Matte About You. I know I'm holding China Glaze's Matte Magic in the last pics, but when I was taking these pictures, that was on the end table, and to be honest, my butt was too lazy to get back up and grab the Essie, lol. Hey....I was tired and comfy, lol.

I started with 2 coats of Cocktails Anyone?

Then I did the polka dots with Sally Hansen Slick Slate and a Bundle Monster Plate

next I taped off half the mani, diagonally, and used Slick Slate again

Then for fun, I re-taped my nails, and added Essie Matte About You :)

  4. Oh goodness, I love this mani!

May I ask if the dots are free-hand or done with konad/ fauxnad? I always have problem making the dots loking even on nails! :(

  9. Aww, thanks you guys!! I was quit pleased with myself over this one.

Emer, HAHAHA, 4 times!!! I love it, but I do know the frustration when you just can't settle on one.

Steph, those were done with a Bundle Monster plate :)

    Cammy, *blushes* Aww, thanks!!!!

Stickers, thanks!!! It really isn't from anywhere. I just sit in front of my stash, decided what colors would look great together, IMO, and then decided how I can use them together. Then I tend to get bored, and thats when matte comes into play a lot, lol.

  12. Wow, I love it, it's so beautiful !
I have a question : I never used scotch tape over polish but does it sometime « take off » a little bit your polish ? Or do you use some kind of special tape ?

  13. Thanks you guys!!!

Poish Lava, Oh I agree, not only are they pricey, but they tend to smear on me :(

Rachel, It is called Slick Slate, lol :P

Amelie, No, I never have an issue of it removing some of the base polish. I just use regular Scotch Tape, satin finish. I have a tutorial on how I do this, up above in the 'Tutorials' tab, called "Funky French and other designs' This shows you hw to use the tape, so that doesn't happen. Here is the link

  18. Are the bundle monster plates big enough for your nails? I know you use them regularly and I've seen a lot of people complaining about them being a lot smaller than the konad ones. Looks beautiful by the way. Thanks.

  23. What polish brands do you like best for stamping?

  24. Thanks you guys!!

Madi, the Bundle Monster full nail image plates are def smaller than Konads, but if I do it just right, they fit on my nail. I do have issues on my thumbs, but I can deal :)

Lakesha, I love Sally Hansen Insta-Dri's, Sally Hansen Chrome polish pens, Wet N' Wild Black creme, holos, but over a dark base, and any metallic polishes. As long as it's a one coater, they work too.
